Avery & Steve Company Founders
The Pacific Auction Company was founded in 2003 by Avery & Steven. The business was a natural extension of their passion for giving back and helping others. Steve had built a career as a professional fundraiser and was the VP of Development for a major national health charity, while Avery was an accomplished accountant and business manager. Prior to that, both Avery and Steve worked in rural development in Latin America; Avery in Mexico working with impoverished woman farmers, while Steve taught beekeeping as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay. Having spent seven years in Latin America, Steve is a fluent Spanish speaker and enjoys doing bilingual auctions whenever possible. Both Steve and Avery hold Masters degrees in International Non-profit Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Yes, they met as students!
